“The only limits we have are self-imposed.”

No matter what problem, pain, disability, challenges we have, it can’t conquer us if we don’t let it. We can still be happy, still succeed, and still live well.

Here is a fantastic song about still flying even with a broken wing.

“And with a broken wing
She still sings
She keeps an eye on the sky
With a broken wing
She carries her dreams
Man you ought to see her fly”
~ Martina McBride

What a beautiful message!

Nothing can hold us back if we don’t allow it to.

Let’s take those broken wings and learn to fly! πŸ˜€

  1. When we place those limits on ourselves, I think we often do so out of fear – fear of the unknown, of what might be, of pain. Pain we might experience, or cause. One of my favorite quotes by Anais Nin is: “And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.” I think sometimes it is difficult to realize just where that threshold is, so we wait, placing limits…. Nice post, k.

    • Thank You for sharing your thoughts! I love Anais Nin quotes! Yes, I agree our self imposed limits are often out of fear and also lack of confidence which can also be rooted in fear, like being afraid we aren’t good enough or that it won’t work out. It’s good to become aware of when we are doing this and aware of the threshold, like you say. This is the first step to change those limiting thoughts and actions. Thanks again for your comment! Very thought-provoking! πŸ˜€
