Compassion is a Powerful Protector

Compassion can be a feeling we experience once in a while, which I think most of us do, but it can also be a way of life that’s on a whole other plane. It’s a state of being. A deep state of consciousness beyond the usual basic compassion we almost all experience off and on. I think when most of us look at people we don’t know, we really think nothing of them. But living in a state of compassion in a deeper way, we feel it even for “strangers,” insects, animals, all sentient beings. Through compassion we begin to not see anyone as a stranger but someone we feel a deep connection to. ❤ We can deepen our compassion and make it more frequent by practicing showing love to others and contemplating their joy & suffering.
