“On a cold winter night much like this
It was almost christmas but this christmas was darker, less cheerful, but i still believed in Santa, in magic, and miracles, and the hope that we could find joy again.
But our village had given up on miracles and on each other. They had forgotten the spirit of christmas, the sacrifice of giving, n my family was no different. I tried to help them to believe again but we were no longer the loving family i remembered. They too had given up. N eventually so did I.”

I love Christmas, the whole holiday season, and scary movies! Krampus is a combination of both! Very Christmasy but also scary. There is something about the concept of Krampus that I find to be inspiring. He is supposed to be an ancient spirit who comes to inflict punishment upon those who have lost their Christmas spirit or those who just don’t care about the goodness of the season. Even though he is evil, he’s like a reminder to never stop seeing the beauty in the holiday season.

If we give up on love, lose hope, have a cold, stingy attitude, not welcome the beauty around us, we may not be punished by an ancient evil spirit but we will be punished by our own head/mind.

I am in the Christmas spirit all year long and especially when it’s the actual holiday season!
I am all for the decorations, the happy holidays & merry christmases, the snow and holiday songs, the sappy movies, the giving, the cafes with all the seasonal flavored lattes and hot cocoa, cookies, candles, the cold, the early nightfall, fireplaces, cozy pj’s; Im all decked out in Christmas pjs and leggings and shirts.

I have always loved the bell in the Krampus movie! It’s the bell he leaves after he snatches non-believers/bah humbug people into the underworld. This year, I ordered a replica of it! It’s just like the one in the movie! At first I wasnt sure if I would get the Polar Express bell(Polar Express is a cute, inspiring, family/kid oriented Christmas movie about never stopping our belief in Santa Claus n never losing the Christmas spirit so sort of similar to Krampus but without the evil spin lol) but decided to get the Krampus one because I love the horror aspect of it and love that the Krampus bell has his name on it. And it looks ancient! I love the German pronounciation, the way the grandma in the movies says it, like Crumb-pus, like a crumb of food. I think most people say it like Cramp-us, like a leg cramp. Lol Anyway, I pronounce it the German way even though I have an American accent.

“I knew santa claus was not coming this year. Instead it was a much darker, more ancient spirit. The shadow of Santa Claus. It was Krampus. And as he had for thousands of years, Krampus came not to reward but to punish, not to give but to take, he n his helpers. I could only listen as they dragged my family into the underworld knowing that I would be next. But Krampus didnt take me that night. He left me as a reminder of what happens when hope is lost, when belief is forgotten, and the Christmas spirit dies.”

These are a couple quotes out of the movie. A reminder to not lose hope, not give up on love, to keep giving & believing all year long. A lot of people find the holiday to be stressful, sad, depressing, dumb…and whatever else. If we stop for a moment and look around though, we can see goodness and beauty in it. If nothing else, look at the beauty of all the lights in the darkess of nightfall and the cheerful decorations that people are so motivated & inspired to put all around their houses. It takes a lot of work, determination, & cheer to care to do that! We can appreciate that if nothing else.

I hope you are having a beautiful day or night wherever in the world you are! 💚

Santa, Baby <3

I love Christmas & Christmas music!

Today is a beautiful December day.

Unusually hot. I am cherishing every second of warmth especially  knowing that it’s not always going to be like this. Most Decembers are freezing cold here and it’s quite beautiful to be able to walk around in short sleeves without freezing my balls off, in December! I do love the cold but this is sweet too! I was so disappointed, even beyond disappointed, for a while that it’s this hot but now I’m just soaking up all the warm beauty. It feels like the beginning of Spring! Not just physically but that emotional/psychological feeling.
Now I’m longing for Spring! Lol

Here is one of my favorite Christmas songs!

Santa Baby – Eartha Kitt – mobile

Santa Baby – desktop

“Come and trim my Christmas tree,
With some decorations bought at Tiffany’s,
I really do believe in you,
Let’s see if you believe in me,
Santa baby, forgot to mention one little thing,
A ring.
I don’t mean on the phone,
Santa baby, so hurry down the chimney tonight”

Very materialistic isn’t it? Lol But that’s ok! Nothing wrong with wanting a few unnecessary objects!

Here is my materialistic Christmas list:

1.) A ring (like the girl in the song! Lol) I love rings, especially sterling silver emerald birthstone rings! The emeralds don’t have to be real. That would be sweet though! I can look at rings online all day. It’s eye candy but torture since I can’t have them. I like silver more than gold.

2.) some more Buddhist Malas! Any pretty stones are good!

3.) lots & lots of books! Mystery, thrillers, philosophy, fiction, supernatural, legal thrillers, medical thrillers….

4.) stationary supplies…notebooks, pens…

5.) tea!

6.) a pleasant surprise! 😀

7.) candles! I especially love tropical scents and there’s this one I saw that I hope to get called “Stormy Nights” and it smells amazing! There’s one called “Midnight Rain” that looks pretty but doesn’t smell really good. Not bad but not especially good. I love the names of both candles. I’m also hoping for a Strawberry one! 😀

8.) A five inch pair of stilettos, preferably black! Never too old for those!

Lol This was kind of difficult, I had to think a lot about what objects I want, I guess I’m not that materialistic! Oh, well….;-D But I really would love all these things! ❤

Soon, I will be sharing my grown up Christmas list, a way less materialistic one!

I love that song sung by Amy Grant! Just beautiful!

But I also love this funny, cheerful, uplifting one!

Eartha Kitt is a pretty, pretty girl isn't she?! Goddess for sure! And what a pretty name, Eartha. I love the old sound of this great song!

Much love to you!

❤ 😀

Step Into Christmas

“Step into Christmas
Let’s join together
We can watch the snow fall forever and ever
Eat, drink and be merry
Come along with me
Step into Christmas
The admission’s free”

I love Christmas & Winter themes! Cozy pj’s and blankets, crisp cold air, pine & cinnamon, peppermint, candy canes, Santa Claus, reindeers and elves, glistening snow, gifts, the sense of unity in the air, decorations, wreaths, Christmas music, holiday cheer, holiday movies, fireplaces, giving, snow covered hills ….all of it! It really is the most wonderful time of the year! Lol

The Christmas spirit is always with me all year but especially in October to January! I keep it under control the rest of the year usually!

It annoys people!

It comes flooding out at any second no matter what part of the year it is! It’s kind of like grief except this is purely pleasant. You know how grief never goes but at any second maybe triggered by something, maybe not, it comes to the surface and is more raw like when the loss recently occurred? That’s how my Christmas spirit is, always here but gets stronger at some points. ;-D

When I walked into work recently, I found that my manager has it all decorated for Christmas! Yay! What a pleasant surprise.

Here are some pictures I took of our decorations:

And a lovely song sung by Elton John!

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in….March?!

Coca Cola…. It’s the real thing!

I’m very amused.

My sister and me bought boxes of Coca Cola cans, ordinary boxes but when I opened them I was in for a (pleasant) surprise!!

Santa is on all of the cans! In March! Lol!

The Coca Cola company is out to trick us all! It’s catastrophic! ;-D

Putting old holiday cans in a regular box! Probably knowing people wouldn’t be buying Christmas cans in March. And not on sale! Over five dollars! I would have still bought them anyway because I’m just easy going like that and anything with a Christmas theme is totally alright with me! Even when it’s in March.

My mom said I should write to the company and complain but I wouldn’t dream of it!

The Coca Cola in the cans tastes as good as ever too so it’s all good! :-p 😀 Coca Cola is definitely happiness in a bottle…..or can!!

And to top it off there has been a Winter Wonderland going all day yesterday! Everything is covered in glistening white.

Coca Cola themed things are some of my absolute favorite things to take pictures of everywhere I go!

Here are some of my pics:

Always Coca Cola. ❤

I hope you’re having a beautiful day or night! 😀 ❤

Random Inspiration #5 {Christmas Cheer}

“Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful.” ~Norman Vincent Peale

There’s nothing that brings in the Christmas spirit like watching the movie, Home Alone! Especially while drinking a Snickerdoodle cookie iced latte!

Home Alone is the most hilarious movie no matter how many occasions I see it! It never gets old and I laugh as if it’s the first moment I’m seeing it! Lol

And I love the end, so sweet and inspiring!

Snickerdoodle iced lattes with whipped cream are the most delicious iced lattes I ever tasted! I wish they were out all year long!

“Christmas is a time when you get homesick — even when you’re home.”~Carol Nelson

“He who has not Christmas in his heart will never find it under a tree.” ~Roy L. Smith

“One of the most glorious messes in the world is the mess created in the living room on Christmas day. Don’t clean it up too quickly.”~Andy Rooney

“I will honor Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year.” ~Charles Dickens

“Never worry about the size of your Christmas tree. In the eyes of children, they are all 30 feet tall. “~Larry Wilde, The Merry Book of Christmas

“Love is what’s in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen.” ~Author unknown, attributed to a 7-year-old named Bobby

“A Christmas candle is a lovely thing;
It makes no noise at all,
But softly gives itself away.”
~Eva Logue

“For the spirit of Christmas fulfils the greatest hunger of mankind.” ~Loring A. Schuler

Much love, happiness, & joy to you!

My grown Up Christmas list

“Do you remember me
I sat upon your knee
I wrote to you with childhood fantasies

Well I’m all grown-up now
And still need help somehow
I’m not a child
But my heart still can dream

So here’s my lifelong wish
My grown-up Christmas list
Not for myself
But for a world in need”

Macy’s collects letters to Santa written by people of all ages. For every letter they receive, it helps a sick child’s wish be granted. Isn’t that beautiful?! My sister and me wrote letters and put them in the Santa MailBox! We also watched the beautiful light show at Macy’s with my mom, dad, and all the others who showed up to watch.

It was so cute to see all the little kids writing their letters for Santa Claus and putting them in the mailbox. They were so happy and joyful. I wish all kids can have the opportunity to be so happy and carefree.

My Christmas list this year is for a world in need. I wish for

1.) hope & healing for all those who are suffering. Humans & animals alike
2.) a warm and happy place to live for all homeless people and animals.
3.) love, acceptance, and tolerance instead of wars and unjust discrimination
4.) More empathy & understanding for each other in this world
5.) a friend for everyone
6.) hope, strength,  & happiness for everyone
7.) for everyone to have the ability to see the good that exists in the world
8.) Unconditional love

I am deeply inspired by the Christmas song “My Grown Up Christmas List.”. It is a stunningly beautiful song with an incredible message.  I love Amy Grant’s version.

“No more lives torn apart
That wars would never start
And time would heal all hearts
Everyone would have a friend
And right would always win
And love would never end
This is my grown-up Christmas list”

List of Christmas Favorites <3 :-D

ImageIt feels very Christmasy to me today! Lol. I see so many windows around where I work decorated with stunning lights, beautiful decor, cute holiday characters and more.

I’m in the mood for posting some Christmas cheer – a list of some of my favorite Christmas songs.

Here are some of my absolute favorite Christmas songs that I love!! ❤

1.) What Christmas Means to Me – Paul Young

It’s so uplifting and has beautiful mental imagery.

2.) Christmas Eve – Celine Dion

A beautiful love song about spending Christmas Eve and Christmas with the one she loves. ❤

3.) My Grown Up Christmas List – various artists

Amy Grant sings one version

It’s beautiful and about how she wishes for a better world and hope and healing and friendship for everyone instead of just inanimate material possessions.

4.) Christmas Serenade – Johnny Maestro and the Brooklyn Bridge

Beautiful song about Christmas with beautiful imagery

5.) Jingle Bell Rock – Hall & Oates version

I love it. So uplifting. ❤

6.) Holly Jolly Christmas

– Burl Ives

This song inspires me. It’s just lovely.

7.) Christmas All Over Again – Tom Petty

This song amuses me and is uplifting.

8.) All I Want for Christmas is you

by Vince Vance & Valiants

This is not a different version of the other song by Mariah Carrey; it’s a completely different song all together.

It’s really good.

9.) All I Want For Christmas is You – Mariah Carrey

10.) Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree – Amy Grant’s version

And many, many more. I really love Christmas music and can really listen to it all year but I believe that laying off it for the rest of the year makes it extra thrilling and special when the holiday season is actually upon us. ;-).

I love everything about Christmas. Everything. The movies, the tv programs, the music, the lights & decorations, the sense of unity in the air, the holiday gatherings, gift giving, surprises and all!

Maybe I’ll post another list of holiday favorites later. 😉

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

Well, not really. Not just yet but this girl can dream. 😉

I love how it feels like the season is changing now. To me, it’s incredibly beautiful when the seasons are in the process of changing. I know it’s supposed to get extremely hot again soon, like 80 degrees or whatever but for the last couple of days, it seems that fall is finally in the air after what, to me has felt like a long hot scorching summer. Summer is sweet! But I’m ready for cool weather, candy corn, delicious caramel apples, pumpkin spice coffee (which I am enjoying right now!!), hoodies, cold nights, crisp brightly colorful leaves, pumpkins, scarecrows….and even Santa Claus, pine trees, apple cinnamon, glistening snow, gingerbread people, Winter Wonderland, mistletoe, jingle bells, cozy, warm blankets at night, and cheesy, sappy old Christmas/holiday cheer music…and More!!! Yay!! Lol

I’m like a little girl deep in my heart! I get thrilled over simple pleasures and little kiddie things!! Lol But that’s alright! <3. Those are things that so many people overlook and outgrow or just feel too old for. But the truth is, we’re never too old to let that inner child run wild!

I’m just about over the excessive heat, air conditioners, bikinis, pools, sprinklers, bbq’s, longer hours of daylight, extreme humidity (eww), sticky haze, and all that good stuff. I’m ready to kiss it all goodbye until we meet again next year! 🙂

I find that the fall and winter seasons deeply inspire me.

There’s just so much to be happy about and look forward to in the fall and winter. Like all those little things I mentioned above!

And after a year goes by I find myself ecstatic as the season approaches.

I just love the feel in the air.

I have already downloaded some holiday music! Christmas songs are the best!!

I will never outgrow the thrill of holidays and festivities! Lolz!

This nearing season is like the world’s gift to me! ❤

This year, I will search for some fun seasonal activities or projects. I’m horribly unskilled at arts and crafts, drawing, creativity or whatever but that doesn’t mean I can’t still have fun and do all that anyway! 🙂

Last night my sister and me went to A.C. Moore and bought lots of Fall themed arts and crafts material to decorate with. We got an old pair of stiletto shoes and decorated them to look real pretty! And we’re quite proud of our accomplishments!

Another thing I would very much love to do is volunteer work helping people.

I looked online and found a hospital close to me where they need volunteers to work at the desk and comfort patients in like the emergency room.

That would warm my heart to help hurting people in situations like that.

I am in the process of filling out the application. It’s just that it’s kind of like getting a job I think. Even though it’s not paid work. So since I don’t have much work experience in that kind of environment I may not get chosen. But it certainly won’t hurt to try!
